significant capability in the fast growing land
systems sector through the acquisitions of Alvis
and United Defense, combined with RO Defence.
With a global footprint spanning the US, UK,
Sweden and South Africa, BAE Systems’ new
Land and Armaments business delivers the
widest range of integrated battlefield systems,
military vehicles, artillery, naval guns, missile
launchers, ammunition and precision munitions.

Bradley Family of Vehicles
A Bradley A3 storms the desert. United Defense
has produced the Bradley Combat System since
1981, a key vehicle system for the US Army,
supporting a variety of missions. The Bradley
Infantry Fighting Vehicle brings troops to the front
lines, the Bradley Cavalry Fighting Vehicle fulfils
the scout role, and the Bradley Fire Support Team
Vehicle calls for fire support for forward units.
Bradley Battle Command Vehicles provide on-the-move
digital command capability, while Bradley
Engineer Squad Vehicles support the important
role of engineer units. |

The M777 is a
revolutionary 155mm
Howitzer that is half the
weight of a conventional
155mm system.
The M777 meets
requirements for
rapid deployment
and accurate artillery
fire support. First
production units have
been delivered to the
US Marine Corps.

CV90
In 2004, Hägglunds secured a 749m Euro
order from the Netherlands for 184 vehicles.
Sweden, Norway, Switzerland and Finland
have also all selected the CV90.
