About Dauntless
Dauntless is the second of class anti-air warfare destroyer made by BAE Systems for the Royal Navy.

She will be one of up to eight Type 45 destroyers which will provide the backbone of the Royal Navy’s capability for the first half of the 21st century.

Dauntless will be launched from the BAE Systems ship yard at Govan in Glasgow at 15.25 on Tuesday 23rd January 2007. She will be officially named by the ship sponsor, Lady Burnell-Nugent.

Dauntless is due to enter service in 2010 following completion and extensive sea trials and she will be affiliated with the City of Newcastle.

Dauntless will be launched from BAE Systems Govan yard on the river Clyde on Tuesday 23 January 2007.
