Dauntless Launch information
The launch of Dauntless will be a spectacular event. Over 13,000 tickets have been issued to members of the public, including school children, community groups and yard employees and their families.
Once gathered in Govan, everyone will be able to see Dauntless in her entirety on the slipway and watch an aerial display by a Royal Navy Merlin Helicopter.
The excitement will build as the Lady Sponsor takes to the platform to name and bless Dauntless and after the traditional cracking of Champagne on the bow, Dauntless will glide into the water of the Clyde for the very first time.

Interviews will be available from 14.20 to 15.00 or by prior arrangement.
Satellite broadcasting vehicles requiring access to the immediate launch area will need to be in place no later than 13.15. Any media vehicles arriving after this time will not have access to the launch area. Vehicle access is via the Linthouse Gate on Holmfauld Road, pedestrian access is via the Main Gate on Govan Road. The gates will close at 15.00.
