Introducing Us
Our team of approximately 70 property and environmental professionals have extensive experience in professional property development and management surveying, and property ground and groundwater environmental issues. Our services are available externally to clients including property developers, house-builders, Local Authorities and landowners, however we also provide an internal service to all BAE Systems sites world-wide. Our Capabilities - Providing a 'One Stop Shop' Our capabilities include the detailed investigation and evaluation of ‘brownfield’ sites through to the planning, design and management of remediation schemes supporting site regeneration. We also offer a full site decommissioning service. Defence Site Specialism Being involved in the decommissioning and remediation of former military properties since the late 1980s, we are recognised as defence site experts in dealing with the key emotive issues surrounding defence-related ‘brownfield’ sites. These may include explosives contamination, Unexploded Ordnance (UXO), Chemical Warfare Agents (CWA), asbestos and radiological contamination. We currently operate the only UKAS accredited laboratory for the quantitative analyses of explosives in soils and water. Thanks to our unsurpassed military history - enhanced by the sound relationship we have with the UK Ministry of Defence - we continue to excel in the field of Explosives Safety Management (ESM). Our Corporate Responsibility An added responsibility is to manage the BAE Systems Corporate Contaminated Land Strategy. BAE Systems is committed to collecting and managing all information relating to potential contaminated land issues on it’s properties and where necessary, prioritise areas of contaminated land for remedial action in much the same way as the Local Authorities of England, Scotland & Wales. |
