Building to Deliver Growth
The global defence, support and service market is changing. Customers increasingly recognise that many operations previously managed 'in house' can now be provided more cost effectively and efficiently by industry. They are asking us to make these efficiencies by combining support and service contracts into a small number of all-embracing integrated packages and take on greater responsibility for through-life capability. In some cases such as training, customers are seeking full service delivery in what we term ‘output-based solutions’. We are well placed to address this business, working in strong partnership with our customers and joint venture companies.
- Discrete Support & Services – this covers the traditional methods of support and services such as maintenance and spares;delivered as ‘stand alone’ offerings.
- Integrated Support & Service Packages – means we combine these ‘stand alone’ offerings to deliver integrated packages. For instance, providing improved in-service support by delivering more cost effective and higher availability offerings.
- Through-Life Capability – we take the level of integration one step further by offering support and service package through the whole lifecycle of the proposal (concept to disposal).
- Output Solutions – we provide customers with a solution which they can outsource in its entirety, while we take responsibility for service delivery.
